Looking for someone participating in an event?
It is obvious by our low prices that we are not in this business to make money, but rather to break even to keep our electric on and our salaries paid. Our income; most of the time meets our expenses. We receive, and put to good use every wonderful donation we receive. We have a community that supports us and we thank you for that. We could not do what we do without your support.
We run our organization like a business and work diligently to follow all rules and regulation. We do are research to make sure that we are up-to-date on what is happening in the animal welfare and animal health care fields. We work hard every day to make sure that each person and their beloved pet receives the highest quality of service and they leave feeling confident that they received the best care for the best price.
The ACT Clinic was established to give people an affordable way to do the right thing. Last year, over 16,000 dogs and cats were euthanized in Hillsborough County...not because of illness or disease....but because there were too many animals. Overpopulation kills more animals than all other diseases combined. Please spay or neuter now so that we don’t have to destroy their offspring later.
In addition to spays and neuters, ACT provides wellness vaccines, dentals, doctors exams, and heartworm and flea prevention products. Our services are underwritten by companies and individuals who believe that spaying and neutering is the healthy and only choice to a better future for your pet and for society. Because of that, and our mission, nothing ACT does is in support of backyard, "save the bloodline", or "one-litter only" breeders. Remember, litters don’t come in ones. Litters can come with 6 kittens or 12 puppies. Bloodlines are ended everyday at the shelter. If you have a need to continue the breed, go to the shelter and save a purebred dog instead of letting them die. It’s not only ‘mutts” that end up on death row!
Our mission is to save lives and our prices are limited to those that are not adding to the population crisis. If, after everything we tell you about spaying and neutering, you still do not want to get your pet spayed or neutered then you will pay a 20% up charge or you will go to your regular veterinarian. We do realize there are Certified Breeders, health issues, or other reasonable issues why you cannot or will not get your pet spayed or neutered. Please let us know of any issues and bring proof with you.
